Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
These have been some of my favorite verses. They help me to realize that it's not I who's strong, but He. Not I who knows all, but He does. They remind me that no matter what state I'm in, here's there. It's not by my power that plans will succeed, but His. The weaker I am, the stronger He is in me. These verses help me to know that He is the center of it all. I need not to worry about failing. He's the center of it all. As long as I keep my eyes on Him, His plan will succeed. Not that I don't need to work hard, but He should always be the center of it all, no matter what I do or think. Then I'll truly be able to "boast in the Lord". Because then, I'll know that it's not I who've accomplish but He. He does everything well. I don't have to worry about that.
