Acts 7:60 (no jokes) haha

Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.

The death of Stephen has always been very humbling to me. Just a couple of chapters before in Acts before he was actually stoned to death. Luke (the assumed author of Acts) noted that Stephen was a ordinary humble guy, filled with grace and the Holy Spirit. He waited tables for the apostles. He did ordinary work so that the apostles can continue with their ministries. It humbles me every time when I read this passage about his death. The way he spoke about Christ, and the knowledge he had about the Bible (the OT Bible.) It humbles me to see that Stephen, being such an ordinary man, spoke so powerfully before the high priests, and even at the point of death, he still gave himself fully to the ministries of Christ. In it, I see Stephen's faithfulness toward God in everything that he did. From waiting tables, to speaking/testifying about God, and even dying for Christ. I'm amazed at his humble heart.
