Acts 28:22-23

But we want to hear what your views are, for we know that people everywhere are talking about this sect. They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. From morning till evening he explained and declared to them the kingdom of God and tried to convince them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.

I was amazed that when Paul reached Rome and was put under house arrest, the first thing he did was to call the Jewish leaders together. And these leaders hadn't even heard about the incident that led Paul to be imprisoned for all these years. Instead they were curious about his teachings and even came to the place he was being held captive to hear him teach. I think it was several years from that first incident that first led Paul to be imprisoned and it was by Jewish leaders of that other area, and yet in God's timing, the Jewish leaders in Rome were now curious and came to him to learn and hear his testimony.

It's so amazing to me to see how God works in His own time and brings people to Paul and is with Paul throughout his journeys. As I read these last chapters, I thought how crazy a life Paul...being dragged from place to place standing trial over and over again...and yet God used all of it so that he could share the gospel with many high leaders and people all over. In CG this week, we talked about how Paul's advice to Titus and the church revolved around the idea of being a living testimony and impacting those God places around us and in our realm of influence, and that is totally how Paul lived as demonstrated over these past few chapters (Acts 21-28). Paul really walked the talk!
