"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
I literally gasped out loud when I read these verses. I couldn't believe or even imagine being a follower of God and not knowing about the Holy Spirit. Granted back then things worked slightly different than now, but I gasped b/c I could not imagine living with out it. To me having the Spirit as a part of my life is essential in living the life God has called me to live. Even with the Spirit, following God is hard enough. I'm so thankful that God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit and I pray that I may continue to allow God's Spirit to speak to me and direct my ways.
