The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, "Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome."
It's been awhile since I've read thru Acts and I'm just amazed at the life Paul, formerly Saul, had. He had to continually defend himself against those who wanted to persecute him and yet he did so boldly. But I'm sure thru all of these events it must have started to wear on Paul and must have been very tiring and trying. And God knew this and gave Paul encouragement and confirmation that he was doing what God had planned for him to do. That must have been quite a pick-me-up to hear those words from God at that time. How awesome is our God!
