Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
this verse caught my attention probably b/c of the reference to winning. there's been a lot of that around me lately...with my company changing their name and the new tag line is "race to win" and with the playoffs of our volleyball season. i like this verse b/c although it's talking about winning i know that it's about the real "prize" and reason we "race" or live our lives. this verse is a good reminder that although we should always do our best in work or play, the way we live our lives and live in a way that glorifies God is what really matters. this mean when we lose or fail the way we live our lives in those situations is just as important as when we win or succeed.
