"Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May he strengthen your hearts so that you w ill be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones."
I love the prayers found in the letters of Paul to the churches in all the places he brought the gospel. (And it's nice, too that we recently finished reading through Acts to get the bigger picture of movement of the gospel, too!) This prayer in particular makes me think of the hope I have of going to Turkey, and a good reminder that God is the one who will clear the way. And I hope and pray that one day soon many will know the love of Jesus. Even further, I hope that many more of God's people would have a heart for the Turks to pray and love them, and that God would continue to grow my heart for them as well. (It's neat to see how much love and care oozes out of this letter to the Thessalonians!)...pray for Turkey! =)
