Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."
I loved these two chapters (ch 3-4). For a couple of reasons: 1) I remember Peter when he denied Jesus 3 times, and I remember my own frailties. It amazes me to see how God uses Peter, a once timid believer of Christ, to testify about Christ, to speak in front of the Pharisees. Boldly. And I look into my own life, and so many times I feel so vulnerable and broken, but it's true that it's only in our brokenness that Christ (or the glory of Christ) is revealed. When I'm weak, I'm strong. 2) This message on Peter & John's testimony fulfills Christ's prophesy in the gospels. (Luke 21:12-15) Peter and John were captured and brought to the teaches of the law, persecuted, but at the right time, God filled Peter with His Holy Spirit and Peter spoke as the Spirit directed. That was powerful.
