v32 They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"
v45 Then he [Jesus] opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
I'm reminded tonight that I need to not just focus on reading God's word, but also spend time asking Him for understanding of it. Jesus opened up the and made clear the Scriptures to His disciples before He left them. Their hearts "burned" as they learned and read it. I need to also come before God and ask for that same understanding so that it's not just knowledge I get from reading His word, but wisdom which can impact and change my life and understanding of God.
