Acts 5:38-39

Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."

As I'm reading Acts, I've been so impressed with the conviction and the boldness that the apostles possessed. They believed God. They gave every to God and to one another. Even though there were so many oppositions, their faith never wavered. That was (and still is) a testimony to all people that Jesus is alive! From these verses, we see that these testimonies reached even a Pharisee. Although at the time, Galilean (the Pharisee who released apostles), was not a Christ follower, I believe that if he (Galilean) had been seeking, he would have known that Jesus was really who He said He was. We also see later in this chapter that "a large number of priests became obedient to the faith." By this, we know that our faith is not of human origin. Jesus is alive!
