"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
God's been teaching me a lot about personal finances recently and impressing upon me the need to be a good steward of the resources He has blessed me with. So I've started to look at investing for retirement and looking at how I can best manage the resources He has blessed me with. But as I learn more and set goals to be a good steward this verse reminds me that being a good steward does not mean just "storing" up God's blessings but it talks about being "rich" toward God as well. I think it's also important to note that the verse does not say that we shouldn't save and invest, but what it does say is that we should also be sure that we are generous and giving to God and his kingdom abundantly as well.
