Luke 15:7

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

I fed the homeless tonight. While I was serving, I though, "Wow. I don't think that the homeless really wanted to be homeless. Circumstances, situations might have oblige them to their homelessness. I can't judge a person because of their status." I bring this up because I was reminded today that if God were to judge us according to our sins, there would be no redemption. But God had compassion on us. He sees our sins, but He longs for us to come back to Him, and He actively seeks us out. It's not that we deserve to be saved, but His mercy saved us. This grace that we have received, we also need to give as it's been given to us.
