Acts 6:2-4

So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."

These words stood out to me b/c it impressed me that the disciples realized and acknowledged they couldn't do all that needed to be done by themselves. And when they realized this they told the other believers to choose from themselves those that were "full of the Spirit and wisdom" to take over that ministry. I thought it was very wise that the twelve disciples did not choose those that would be given the responsibility of that ministry, instead they left the decision to those that would be left serving in that ministry. I thought it was wise b/c it allowed the group to identify those they saw as spiritual leaders and those they wanted to follow.
