"For no word from God will ever fail."
What a promise of hope and faithfulness to us on the part of God! And indeed all that God said would happen came to pass: both John and Jesus were born and the world has never been the same since. Yet at the same time, I can't help think about my friend Grace who has been on my mind a lot lately (cancer seems to be winning at this point). What does it mean for God's word not to fail in her context? Will He heal her? Has He promised to do so? Or maybe the question is, how will God be glorified in all of this? And although I don't know the answer to that...the only comfort I can take is that God knows what He's doing, and thankfully He is good and faithful...
